System Requirements:
BurstekReporter’s system requirements heavily depend on the volume
of data that is managed and processed. For larger data sets, more memory will prove beneficial.
Minimally your system should have 2 Dual Processors 1.73Ghz with 1Gb of memory available for
BurstekReporter. This will work for datasets up to 5Gb of data.
For larger datasets, increase the available memory.

Yes. BurstekReporter will allow you to import your Control List from either bt-LogAnalyzer or other instances of BurstekReporter. You will need to export the Control List from bt-LogAnalyzer first.
No. BurstekReporter can read MSDE files over the network. To minimize any performance, impact, or influence of your proxy/firewall, it is recommended that you install BurstekReporter on a different machine.
While the generated reports themselves cannot be transferred, you can transfer the data that generated the reports. All the reports and sub reports enjoyed previously in bt-LogAnalyzer are available with BurstekReporter. The definitions of customer reports cannot be migrated over at this time.
All functionality of BurstekReporter will be available through the Web Interface. BurstekReporter no longer uses the MMC.
Once BurstekReporter imports log files to its internal database, it no-longer relies on the original log files for data; instead, we use our internal data set that compresses and aggregates the data.
You will need access to the original log sources only if you wish to re-import the data sometime in the future.
BurstekReporter is incredibly fast – it performs 10+ times faster than bt-LogAnalyzer.
After much debate, we decided that BurstekReporter should not support viewing time. As you well know, it’s impossible to measure actual time spent on the Web with any degree of accuracy. At best you will show estimates but never actual values. Since estimates have the tendency to be inaccurate we decided to remove this feature.
Since certain Websites can be part of more then one category, we cannot total bandwidth or Web page count for categories. The sum of all categories would be greater then the actually total.
No, BurstekReporter requires a new key. Continue to use bt-LogAnalyzer while you migrate comfortably to BurstekReporter and contact us for your new license key. Customer service, technical support or your account manager will be happy to help.
Yes. BurstekReporter supports 2007 in addition to Exchange 5.5, 2000, and 2003.
No. It only means that we have not yet certified that this log format works. We recommend that you contact technical support. A small zipped sample log file can be checked quickly and easily by development and added to the supported list.
Yes. However, we are confident that bt-LogAnalyzer customers will migrate quickly to BurstekReporter to take advantage of its incredible performance, drill-down capability, and growing number of differentiating features. We will continue to support bt-LogAnalyzer of course and based on current contracts, that will be until 2011.
