The URL Control List

The URL Control List contains over 60 predefined categories. Users can easily add, customize or delete categories as needed in their environment. For example, you may wish to create a category such as “Company Business Sites” and add URLs for web pages that are required by your company to perform its daily operations. This would help you filter access for employees to ensure time is spent on business web activities versus non-business activities.

Burstek’s provides a URL Control List update file several times daily. You can choose to either automatically update your Control List definition based on a schedule that suites your needs or you can configure the updates to occur manually. The updates can also be configured to send an email to the administrator upon successful completion or a failure of the Automatic Updates.
