Q: My Top Web Sites report shows x number of users accessing a Web Site. How do I determine who these users are in bt-LogAnalyzer SETM

To retrieve this information from LogAnalyzer, we utilize the ‘Results as Parameters’ option.

  1. In the bt-LogAnalzer SETM Interface, select the ‘Reports’ menu option
  2. On the right side of the page under the ‘Reports’ section, select ‘New Report’
  3. Enter a name for the report
  4. Ensure the Report Type selected is ‘Global’
  5. In the list of sub reports, select ‘Top Users Activity – Web Pages’
  6. Click ‘Apply’
  7. Click on the ‘Customize’ tab
  8. Click the edit button in the ‘Date/Time’ section
  9. Select the Date and Time period that your Top Web Sites report was generated for
  10. Click ‘Apply’ then ‘OK’
  11. Click ‘OK’ on the Customize tab
  12. Locate and Highlight your Top Web Sites report
  13. On the right side of the screen under the ‘Reports’ section, select the ‘Results as Parameters’ option
  14. In the Report dropdown, select the report that you created in step 3
  15. Under the ‘Results for Filtering’ window, expand the ‘WebSites’ option
  16. Locate the Web Site you want to report on and place a check mark in the box
  17. Select ‘Generate’

The Job Queue should appear letting you know the report is running. Once it completes, your report will be displayed in the browser showing the user(s) that accessed that web site for the designated report time period.
