To Create a New Schedule

  1. Right-click on the Schedules container object in the bt-WebFilter Management Console and select ‘New’ then ‘Schedule’. (Alternatively, you can select the ‘Schedule’ container object and select ‘New’ then ‘Schedule’ from the ‘Action’ menu of the Management Console.)

  2. On the ‘Common Information’ tab, enter a name and description for the new Schedule. An Example would be:

    1. Name: Lunch Hour Reduced Restrictions

    2. Description: Deactivate Access Policy Restrictions during Company Lunch Period

  3. Click on the ‘Properties’ tab

  4. Decide if the Schedule should be one of the following:

    1. Active: an Active Schedule can be used to enforce restrictions or allow access to certain URLs and/or Categories during the time period specified.

    2. Inactive: an Inactive Schedule can be used to relax restrictions or prevent access to certain URLs and/or Categories during the time period specified.

  5. Select the Increments that the graph should display

  6. Depending on the type of Schedule you want to create, change the colors for the required blocks by selecting them and clicking the ‘Inactive’ or ‘Active’ buttons

  7. Click ‘Apply’ then ‘OK’
